What is uPVC?

uPVC is unplasticized polyvinyl chloride, a strong, rigid plastic made to resist moisture, weather, corrosion, and rotting. Unlike wood frames, it needs minimal maintenance.

How is a tilt-and-turn window different from a typical American window?

It opens two ways. The tilt position opens the top inward for ventilation while the bottom stays secured. The turn position swings the whole sash inward like a door. Most American windows slide or hinge in only one way.
